MOOG CP-251:

MOOGERFOOGER cp251One day at the NAMM show booth, I told Bob I'd paid over $400 for the old Moog 1125 Sample/Hold controller (designed in the early 70s for the Minimoog era.)

He said “That's crazy! There's nothing much in it!” Which I knew, so I asked if he'd make something better and cheaper, I'd rather have that.

With the input of Mark Pulver and a few other musicians, he created the CP-251 (Control Processor.) At first, people didn't really understand or desire it. Only in recent years have people learned to appreciate it, and now that modular synthesis is back; it's a hell of a powerful toolbox!
